Training

Hello friends,

I just wanted to post a quick update! Things are going well here in Honduras and I am really excited about the work that I am training for right now. Our technical directors are giving us classes on the specific work that we will be doing as Protected Areas Management (PAM) volunteers. We will all be working on environmental education, sustainable farm practices, conservation, and income generation at some point during our service.

As for my life outside of work, things are pretty calm at my host family´s house. However, they did just get a new puppy yesterday…his name is Bobby. I have also really enjoyed my commute to and from work which involves a long walk to the bus stop along dirt roads.  I usually have to skirt around groups of cows grazing along the sides!

I hope that everyone is well in the states! Happy 4th of July! I am celebrating the holiday with my gringo friends in my neighborhood at our friend John´s host family´s house.  We are bbqing chicken and cooking corn on the cob.

Les extraño un monton (I miss you all a lot!).
